Fosse Contracts in Warks. tennis courts upgrade

Fosse Contracts have upgraded a number of Warwick Boat Club's tennis courts in a project worth well over £100,000.

Regular checks made on the tennis surfaces at the club showed that six were close to having little or no pile and had hardened. Such a condition indicates that a surface has reached the end of its useful life, so the decision was taken to replace them.

Having considered the different surfaces available, the club selected the TigerTurf Advantage Pro sand-dressed system.

Fosse Contracts, which had worked for the club previously, subsequently won the tender for base preparation and installation.

Work commenced on 20 October 2011 and was completed in the first week of December.

The upgrade to its tennis courts rounded off a notable year for Warwick Boat Club, with 2011 having marked its 150th anniversary.

As well as tennis, the club has rowing, squash and bowls sections. The tennis section has 11 courts altogether, with seven of them floodlit.
